I love a good story with or without words. I love when I can tell a story that can take you on an unexpected journey and I love what happens when a painting comes to life. Being both a writer and an illustrator allows me to perfectly recreate all of my stories for children in exactly the way I envisioned them.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Illustration from Brigham Young University  in 2015. Brigham Young University is where I learned not only how to enhance my art skills but also where I learned that I wanted to write and illustrate picture books. After graduating, I ran a picture book writing critique group and an illustrators critique group for Society of Children Books and Illustrators as a volunteer for two years for the Lexington region. I also have three paintings on display at the University of Kentucky Hospital.

I live in a tiny little apartment with my baby while my husband goes to medical school at the University of Kentucky. My little family means everything to me. My husband and I are complete opposites but he is very supportive with my art and keeps me updated in the medical world. When I am not painting I am making my baby giggle.
